How we move around 2016

Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time. Steven Wright.

Whanganui District Council, under the Let’s Go Whanganui brand, is aiming to make active modes of transport such as walking, cycling and scootering popular and safe travel choices for the people of Whanganui.

The How we move around 2016 survey will help us to understand how and why people are choosing their modes of transport to key destinations such as work, school and local shops. This will assist Council to develop programmes to encourage the community to use active transport.

So come share a walk, a cycle or even a car ride (only if we have to!) with Viewpoint Whanganui – whatever your preferred mode of travel is we want to hear about it.
