We are consulting on the proposed Economic Development Strategy and would like to know your views on the priorities for driving the district’s development potential.

The strategy sets a 10-year vision to grow Whanganui by being vibrant, prosperous and rich with opportunity by focusing on the following priorities:

• A transport and freight gateway
• Training and development
• Agricultural development
• Tourism (with Whanganui River as a central theme)
• Food and innovation
